Megacycle Cam for SOHC (group buy?)

Just got a price qoute for $285. Anyone heard of any dealers selling em cheaper? This is a welded up cam, no billets available so you have to send em in your core.

not to my knowledge. There are companies in the UK eg Kent cams who could do the work if you have the profile info.

Sounds like megacycle doesnt really like doing them because you can no longer buy new rocker arms. my motor only has 1500 original miles so im ok with that. that being said, I wonder if we can set up a group buy?

That price is crazy by the time you got stiffer springs and new rockers you would be into $500.For that I would buy a bigger engine or even another bike.

I plan to purchase a mega cycle cam, so I'm open to the idea of a group buy. In addition, There is a guy at Wiseco who is helping me determine which 73mm pistons are compatible with an XS400 engine. The TTR250 looks damn close. I'll keep ya posted.

i wouldn't, not worth it IMHO i couls get a reprofiled cam in the UK.
