mounting an emgo cafe fairing

i just picked up a decent emgo cafe fairing at the syracuse swap meet the other day.it came with no mounting hardware,but the price was good.i was wondering if it was too heavy to mount off the stock headlight mount?i know that they are usually mounted off the forks,but i was wondering if i could make a bracket off the headlight mount?thanks guys for any help

the mountings i have seen are very robust affairs, I would do as the manufacturers do as they tested the products in the first place.

thanks drewpy.i was trying to be cheap,but i will find out if they sell just a mounting kit.the last thing i want is for my fairing to come flying off at 70mph

guess i was being REAL cheap.i found 3 sites that sell the mounting kit for $15.00
