My xs400 special cafe build

Hello all. I picked up a 1980 xs400 special w a clean title for $180 almost 3 months ago. Well let’s say I’ve had some not so happy days in my life lately so this build really put a smile back on the face.

When I first bought her she had not spark. I decided to just pull her apart before I ever heard her run. She’s been sitting in a he’d for over 15 years not running. I replaced every gasket in the motor and sprayed her black. Got a pamco ignition new coils plugs.

I’m not much of a welder but I did my rear hoop. Not perfect but she’s strong and works. I decided to spray her in a metallic bronze paint. I really liked the look. It some clubman bars a Mac 2-1 exhaust mikes XS air pods. And an eBay special seat.

I’m sure I’m missing a bunch but she’s been coming a long way. I also got a new set of Avon tires The other day. She sounds really nice I still need to adjust the timing. I also bought an assortment of jets and I think I found the right combination.
