When I was last complaining about this, I used some RTV, and it still has been leaking. So I am re-attempting the same fix. The RTV (black) is firmly adhered to the plug, This time I spun it in circles hoping that the top side will completely block the oil.
I tried to dry out the hole with paper towels, and I put the cover back on, with out any thing else, so the pickup device is just hanging there, and I am waiting for cure time to go by. tomorrow afternoon, should be good.
I am thinking about using a large socket to tap the OD seal a couple times, just in case that is also leaking? could not tell if the oil that appeared near the seal to metal mating place was just over spray from the other plugs of if the OD seal has sprung a leak.
