Placement of flasher relay.

Hey guys so this might seem like a dumb question, but can I put my flasher relay before the turn signal switch, or do I have to get two different flasher relays and mount them after the switch?

Before the switch is what the factory did.

Yep, power to the flasher, from the flasher to the switch. From the switch to the signals.

Ok thats what I thought, but I was also thinking in my head that there might be power going through the relay and it could harm it from being supplied power all the time even when the switch is not going, but that doesnt make sense ha. obviously you have to complete the circuit.
