points conversion

There are no adjustment for a tci box. Points (with adjustment and cleaning) can go a long time I have used them for 8k and still work. A tci box can go bad at any time. I seen them last for 30k with no issues and also seen them crap out at 2k:doh: They can be fixed if you know what you are doing but most dont want to mess with them. A new one is lots of money if you can find one but have seen old used ones go for $50.

I had a 1974 yamaha Enduro DT360 with cdi.It was common for these cdis to go dead in under a year.Alot of people convertered them to points cause they lasted longer and cost less to replace.Since my bike was so old as badly as I wanted to get to run I didnt have time to work on it and wanted a bike that I could ride right away. Then I found my 82:bike::thumbsup: 400xs for $375. Turn key and ride with a few minor issues.
