should head and rocker cover stay together

I was going to sell the top end of my broken engine. I see that the rocker cover and head are bored for the cam bearings and wonder if I should keep them together? I see them separated on ebay, but wonder if the machine work out of Yamaha could have bee so good as to have all of these fit without needing a line bore for the cam when mixing parts.

They are separated on ebay frequently, but should not be. There are numbers between the layers that should match. It will likely leak if mixed and matched.
