I hate the look of the traditional hose clamps, especially on smaller diam tubing, like fuel line. Does anyone have any ideas on something a little less bulky and a little more elegant?
are you talking about the wire ones or jubilee clips. I use the purpose made wire ones which look cool
or you could get a safety wiring tool and twist some up
from web site;
Warning! This will not work with vinyl or plastic fuel line, the wire will cut through the tubing. It will not work with typical rubber automotive fuel line, use metal hose clamps instead.
This method works with .032 stainless safety wire and blue or clear eurethane fuel line, or yellow Tygon fuel line. I have never tried it with different sizes of wire, it is possible that smaller or bigger wire may cut through the eurethane, who knows?
I used these on industrial fittings. They will hold past 150 psi and look clean. But you have to cut them off and replace. Usually bought by the bag in various sizes.
