Slow customize of xs400 Maxim.

Working on making a Maxim "My own" with some mods. I want to change tanks but with the thick backbone the xs400 maxim has , it's a challenge to find a good looking tank that fits. Any ideas? I've dropped it and added straight pipes and wrapped them with heat wrap. Added smaller signals. My plan is to dump the rear section and add a clean, close fitting fender with a custom taillight. Also a café racer type fender to the front. A better looking headlamp, handlebars and mirrors. Solo seat also. I've spotted an old Harley panhead tool box I'm going to mount on the right side foot peg mount. I plan on doing a little sheet metal work and build a pan to cover the under seat area that will be exposed after the seat swap. I'll keep the progress posted as it happens.
