Wanted - SOHC XS400 Crank Cases

I just discovered my kick start journal is cracked and I'm running sans electric start.

Anyone have a spare set of cases and/or a set of seals they'd be willing trade for or sell?

I see a few sets on ebay but figured I'd try here first.

Ouch. Makes me not want to use the kickstart. Maybe I'll build a roller starter for when I'm at the races, I'd hate for that to happen right at the staging lane

Any chance of finding someone real good with a TIG welder to repair that? Maybe even add a little bit of "meat" over the top to give it some more strength? I know I had a transmission failure in my Sportster twenty years ago at 36,000 miles where pieces tried to come out the back of the case, no hole but still good (bad) crack. Asked around about ideas like epoxy and was sent to this guy who worked out of his garage nights. He managed to weld up the crack while I waited without me even having to unload it from the truck. Charged something like $25.00! That bike now has over 111,000 miles on it with no leaks!

I've been told a good place to look for a good welder for anything aluminum is an airport or some place that woks on airplanes.
