Speedometer Cable Hub Clip?

Ordered a brand new motion pro speedometer cable for my 1980 xs but I don't know how to affix it into the hub. Would an o-ring suffice or should I get a clip, and if so, what kind of clip? Thanks!

Unfortunately it did not (and I can't find any that do include it), and I still can't find the proper clip to get the cable to stay in.

everyone I have seen has the screw cap thing

On bikes with front drum brakes the end slides into the hub and is secured with a clip. Have you tried yamaha for a clip? Or google the part number a see what comes up.
