TCI or CDI???

Hello all,
With help from the kind people on this forum, I'm fairly sure we've narrowed the problem down on my Bike to the TCI unit (see thread here: http://www.xs400.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8049).

The only thing is... I'm not sure if it's a TCI or a CDI - i've been getting information that says both. My bike is a 1982 xs400 Heritage Special. Does anyone know for sure which I have?

And on a further note - does anyone have a working one for sale?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the bump, but no-one knows??? I'm sure there is someone out there who has dealt with the part in the past!

The 80-82 sohc models use a tci box

Now it's a matter of finding one. Seems all ebay has are CDI.. no TCI in sight.

Though it is a little beat up, yes it does look like the one on my bike. Purchased! Lets hope that fixes it.

Just an update - Got the part in the mail, threw it in (those battery boxes are a BITCH to get out) and Delilah now runs better than she did before. Throttle response is better, and so far no stalling - an issue I was dealing with off and on for a while (which may have been the TCI slowly dying).
