Hello, probably a dumb question but I'm having a heck of a time figuring out theyear and model of my bike.... I think its a 1983? vin is 2L0-071514

I've looked on that thread several times and still can't narrow it down... not sure what I'm missing, probably a brain

According to the model codes on that thread I have a '79 xs250F, '78 xs400E, '79xs400F

It does yes, and currently I'm at work but I got the Wife to go out to the garage and check and what she has reported back with besides all the GVW and tire psi and size info etc was... 1/79 (506) please be advised that this is passed on from my wife, lol. Not sure if that info helps any?

A 2L0 with a January '79 manufacture date would be an XS400F....same as mine.

Thanks everyone, Finding out the year and model will make getting parts etc much easier! HoughMade looking at your picture we have the identical bike even color and pin striping.
