It might help if you had a few pics of what you have. Seeing as the sohc xs400 used two different bs34 carbs 77-79 and 80-82

0t02g, what side carb did your needle break off on? mine broke off on the right side carb. Maybe I can buy your right hand carb if it was your left side that broke?
