Hi Guys, Here is the breakdown thus far. Not getting any spark on both sides.

1. 82 XS400 DOHC.
2. Coil checks out. Primary: 3.2 and Secondary: 8.4 @ the Plug wire.
3. Brand new Battery, fully charged.
4. New Plugs ( NGK D8EA)
5. Fuses all good.
6. All lights work.

Looks like a job for @Jeff0133 he is the guru on the DOHC 400s if you ask me...........mine is still in pieces in the garage :laugh2: I wheel the motor around when its in the way.......

Unless the TCI completely crapped-out...it feels like either you have a bad ground or a failed safety switch...i.e...kickstand switch.
When my TCI died it gave warnings...like intermittently running on one cylinder.
The safety switches (like the kickstand switch) Cut the ignition so i'd start with that

When in doubt, make sure fuses are good, then use dvom to check that the components that are supposed to be getting power are getting them and narrow it down, but glad to see you got it figured out!
