Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a set of rims for my 1979 xs4, my question has to do with the front tire. My motorcycle currently has a 18" spoke drum brake on the front and with the purchase of these rims I was also giving forks that the front rim came on. All that is needed is a MC which I am trying to track down but am un-able to do, due to the fact I do not know what year or model this rim is off of.

(The tire on the front rim now is 3.00 x 18 if that helps any )

all xs400 m/c will work with your setup. the main choice is with the handle bars as there are 2 types that fit different shaped bars (talking SOHC here)

the LTD, Special, or custom ones have ape type bars and need a slanting mount M/C and there are the "euro" bars which are a flatter mount. top of my head 14mm bore.

Look on the rim for these words: "Suitable For Tubeless Tires". If you find them on a spoke, the rim will be from an '80 on. If not, from a '79 back. At least that's the way it is for U.S. spec rims. Your country may vary.
