Will a DT fuel tank fit an XS 400

Hello all! New here... looking at an XS 400, SR 500 or XS 650 as my next bike. I am coming over form the HD world, so I am trying to learn as much as I can about these great Yamaha bikes. My first question is... will a Yamaha DT tank fit on the triple backbone of an XS 400? If not, can anyone suggest another similar smallish style tank that would work?

Was hoping a DT 80 tank would fit with the triple backbone... like this one on an SR 500...

to get the DT tank on there I had to do some cutting. it doesn't sit right IMHO and I wanted to fit an under tank master cylinder to keep the bars clean.
