I had originally started this question in a different thread but it doesn't really belong in the carb thread anymore and I wasn't sure how to move it so I started a new thread here. Sorry if thats the wrong way to do it.

So I rewired the bike with just the basic stuff needed and using a 3 position spring return key switch. I've been messing with it but just can't seem to get it working correctly. Below is one of the ways I had it wired up. and the video shows what happened.

Using your wiring diagram #1, connect red w/ white from starter relay to start terminal of switch. Connect Blue w/ white from starter relay to ground. That should get it running.

Be advised, with only 1 circuit breaker (not a good idea), any wiring fault will cause the bike to die. This could lead to a traumatic event. I'd strongly suggest that you replace the circuit breaker with a 20A fuse and add separate 10A fuses for the headlight, brake light, marker light, voltage regulator and ignition.
