As the title suggests, could I put the top end of an xs400 on the transmission of an xs360? The bottom end appears identical to me

One of my engine mounts on the bottom half of the tranny is broken, so I really only need to know if anyone has used just the bottom half of the xs360 tranny with the rest of an xs400 engine?

360 case is split and the transmission gears are the same.
Does anyone who has split a tranny know if my shift tumbler should be rotating gears when I try to turn the tumbler through the gears?

400 is split, and I'm attempting to merge the bottom half of the 360 with the top half of the 400 and I cant seem to get them to join.... I was so hopeful. Any ideas anyone?

Looks like I had a bearing backwards, let's try this again. Looking promising again!
