XS400 monoshock replacement

I have an 82 XS400 that feels like the rear shock just isn't what it should be, know what I mean?! Is anyone aware as to whether or not I can replace it with something newer and stiffer? I need to learn.

Yes you can replace it. Works suspension offers a replacement option.

Price is $369 for the non adjustable shock which would probably be loads better than the stock damping.

You could spend more money getting a custom shock but frankly I do not think the bike warrants it.
