1981 XS400, carb dilemma

I have a 1981 XS400 Special. It came with two sets of carbs that the previous owner assumed were the same (and so did I, due to less than due diligence during my purchasing process). I've since noticed some subtle differences and I'm hoping someone can identify which set of carbs are the stockers. Pics below.

From what I can tell the set without the weird thing in the middle should work for 80-81 models.The one with the weird thing in the middle IDK honestly could be an older set like from 75 up to 78.If theres a model number on those carbs you can try google and search them out that may tell you.

I also think Im wrong on the id of the 2cnd pair.I just looked at another thread they look like BS32`s not 34`s like on the other set.

I have a set of the top ones on my '89 DOHC I think.

The one with the brass bolt on the bottom is from a 77-79 xs400 and the other is off an 81(80-82 stile) Both are bs34's
