This al;l started with me buying an 81 XS 400 sight unseen when I was in the Corpse (you'll know if you've been in it). I rode the several hours from Quantico to NC to test ride her and then straight back three hours later.
Having never ridden a bike before I didn't check to see if she was really being cranked for the first time or not. He dropped her before she came off the trailer. Shower me the gas and clutch and I was off (no helmet I know tarded). I got about four miles and stalled turning around. Got her restated and was like ok.
Shed the Gay Saddle bags and had this
After a few bucks towards Carolina Cycle Solutions (big shouts to Jeff and Carlo, if you live in Charlotte go see them) and she had both pistons firing and was runing right with a nice bob. Way too much money to Maco for a shitty but cool paint job I had this
And after being happy and feeling some serious love for Betty. I had a woman decide to run about ten something feet up my ass and do thins (only a week after paint)
Anyway I have stripped her down to the frame and found a reputable guy who seemed cool over the phone and called back because I called before they were open (in school by seven so plenty of time to call) said he would do welding work on her. So it may be slow but I will update you guys on her progress.
