Carbs leaking gas

I have an 82 xs400 maxim. The carbs are leaking gas. Not just leaking, but POURING out. Any ideas?....

The float valves are bad. Put some new ones in and your carbs won't over flow

or...there is dirt in your float seats...and they are fine

Or! Your float height is wrong.

or, there are holes in your floats, and they are now sinkers.
