And the part about not being able to shower or shave for a week made me laugh.
I am so tired of seeing $800 bikes with a 4k price tag on them.

It's funny. If you look in the classified section, there are several wanted ads looking for a titled neck or frame, so at least some people are doing similar things! 
But those people are looking for documented factory necks. Which is much easier to register. If it was so easy to title a bike without having the factory title/factory frame you would never see one without one.
