Hi all,
Can any one tell me if my standard 1978 XS charging system will charge one of the new Lithium ion batteries.Looking forward to your replies

Nope, I haven't a clue. Have you found out.

didn't work for mine as the system is too unstable and fried the battery.

the batteries have a narrow voltage threshold.
