Does anybody know if it is possible to reverse the cylinder head,so the exhaust ports are at the rear,on the 400 DOHC??......and if so,how straight-forward (or not) ,it is to do??.......:yikes:

My first thought is why? Second thought is that the bolts won't fit the barrels. Third thought is getting oil to the head will be a problem.

Unless you are a talented machinist, no it can't be done. And even if it could, it would over heat.

It was a bit of a drunken idea I had, borne out of frustration at not being able to get my exhaust headers in due to the twin downtubes being smack bang in the way!!!LOL

I have since got some Polylock S/S flexible exhaust tubing, and managed to squeeze them past the downtubes...phew!!!!

I am no machinist,so probably just as well haha....

Thanks for your help 16VGTIDave
