im very excited to see we finally have a xs400 forum, the name is Benny been a long time member of xs650 still currently working on my xs400. its been bout 1 year since the build started and finally have some timeto try to finish by spring. well heres a few pics of the build to its current state. started off going with a brat style then decided to stretch the swing arm then said what the hell lets hardtail it. last pic is with 21 i got mocked up its gonna get laced to a spool hub if possible. enjoy thanx.

heres with the 21 mocked up bars didnt go all the way on since hub is a lil to wide and forks still need to be lowered but u get the pic. still need wiring, paint, powder, make exhaust and odds and ends but with work and fam and other things its coming along. also does anyone know what spool hub i can run since i do not want to run stock hub, i like the clean spoke look with no front brakes.

I like the fork stancions through the triple tree, why not hang the bars off them sort of clip on stylee but apes?

Thanks dude I decided to ditch the 16 rear and run a 18 just got rims and hubs and bars from powder Ill post some pics of the mock up. Been working alot so hopefully it will be getting closer soon.

this is it mocked up with stock 18 front wheel for rear back shot wheel is crooked but its to give u the gist of it. need to get wheels laced up now that they are back from powder coat will snap some pics if gets done before my japan trip.

also sold my redtail seat and got a black biltwell that i think will flow better with the look im going for.

Shit man! I totally forgot, I'm super sorry! I'm pretty sure their shop just burnt down here recently, but I'm not positive. Someone told me they had some HVAC work done, and the place caught fire like a week later. I will make sure though. I will look around though for another place, because I wanna re-spoke mine soon too.

That seat is the bees knees though!!!
