Torque meter/sensor/whateveror for small socket wrench?

Dude...unless it's your job to work on cars/bikes, the Pittsburgh torque wrench will work just fine. It's $25 and Pittsburgh is actually pretty decent, even though it's sold at HF. The Snap On wrench is for mechanics who work on cars day in and day out. I mean, if you're cool with paying that much fine, but I wouldn't, given that I've only used a torque wrench maybe 20 times in my life. Like Drewpy said, eventually you just kind of know how much torque you're giving...especially when it's under 20lbs.

You might be overthinking this one. ;)

I'll be darned if my torque wrench will cost more than my bike....but my bike was free, so.... Anyway, you really can't go wrong with Craftsman.

Two things. First, I'm meeting the opinions in the middle and buying this: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00931424000P?prdNo=4&sid=I0084400010000100600&aff=Y

Second, you're obviously a nice guy for chiming in to help with your perspective ... but starting a sentence with "DUDE"? Come on, man.

If I order from HF I might, MIGHT get the package in 2013.

You seem like a nice guy too, but when people offer advice, you really shouldn't question their delivery.

So yeah....dude.

I'm sure either choice you go with, you'll be happy.

A few years has passed, I hope you are happy with your purchase!

I am looking for a torque wrench too and thumbed through this thread for some pointers...what are the lowest and highest torque settings this bike requires?

A quick glance through the manual looks like a range from 5.2ft/lbs to 27.5ft/lbs.
I seem to recall trouble finding a click torque wrench that'd do the full range, or at least the higher or lower settings were out of the wrench's optimum range.

Went with a 3/8" beam wrench. Does the full range and there's no calibrating or risk of overtorquing by accident.
