Replacement Centerstand

The time has come when the arm of the XS400 centerstand broke (a common problem reading the boards here).
Seems like Yamaha used cheap tubing metal for it.

Is there any good replacements that are more sturdy?
I see MikesXS offers an XS650 one but skeptical that it would fit on the XS400:

Anyone know if it would fit or another universal one that would fit?

The xs650 one will NOT work. I would try ebay for a sohc xs400 one.

I've had the same issue with 2 different kick-stands. Just had a buddy weld up a gusset between the small lever and arm.

I've been debating losing the center stand and getting a lift for summer

Had the same problem with mine the end broke off.Ive been meaning to have a stronger piece of tubing welded on but haven't got around to it yet.
