I searched the forums and found no answer.. I want to put a tank from a 2002 vx250 Virago.... on the maxim... I know some mods will be necessary... But does anyone know if it will fit over the backbone? I don't have the tank available to try it. Looking at one on the bay.

I've done it before with a drill, buffing pad and rubbing compound. But it's very slow and tedious. Anybody know of a better way?

Working on making a Maxim "My own" with some mods. I want to change tanks but with the thick backbone the xs400 maxim has , it's a challenge to find a good looking tank that fits. Any ideas? I've dropped it and added straight pipes and wrapped them with heat wrap. Added smaller signals. My plan...

Would like better road gears. Are there larger front sprockets and smaller rear sprockets available anywhere?

Sounds like it's in the frame under the tank. What happened is I changed turn signals to aftermarkets and now they don't flash. They're not LEDs.
