1980 yamaha xs 400 hardtail chop

Hey man, all the best with regard to making your own there. Just a reminder that the strongest shape is a triangle for bracing. Reference Ducati trellis frames, etc. I understand what you're going for so maybe you can add some flat-black painted braces to the 'square' shapes on the sides. Possibly something that mimics the diagonal you've already created. Not for nothin' but with a hard tail there will be more forces and vibrations acting upon the frame. Really, all the best there.
 
Well thanx man . Yea I"ll agree with ya on the webs ,I put them on with cable ties they were from another project . If I go smaller and make them to help support the rear axle I think they would flow a lot better . Even though I like building custom cars and bikes and having my own twist to make them mine , I also keep in consideration of other people how it may look to someone else .
 
I've been a little slow with keeping up with my progress on the chop , so here's some pics of my progress so far . Hope you guy's like it but I know I am !
