Bike Identification

Hello Gentleman,
Guy I bought the bike from said it was an 83, but I'm fairly certain it isn't. Anyways, I didn't have the vin before but now I do. The number on the bike is 2L0-000595. Just looking for a definitive year. Thanks!

How can you tell it's the 78E rather than the 79f? You must have a good eye haha.

I'm sure he could probably pick something out visually but you mentioned the VIN prefix in the first post.
Makes it pretty easy.

The 78 E and 79 F are the same bike. The vin number starts with a 0 for the 78 and a 1 for the 79.
