Can anyone recommend a source for a new hydraulic brake line for an 82 Maxim 400? XS400J. Regular rubber is fine. I won't buy from MikesXS anymore after they sent me the wrong carb boots and blame me.
I'll contact my brother and see if he used the one I gave him. If you're looking for used, that is.
I can measure mine if you need, I would assume any motorcycle shop would sell different lengths.
I don't really like mikesxs either, they charge $8+ for priority shipping when all I'm buying is jets(well under $2 to ship a couple of jets). Very unreasonable, imo.
Your best bet is to find a shop that can fabricate a new line from new hose. A brand new, old stock, line is too old to be used. I had a braided stainless steel line made and shipped for under $50 by a Canadian shop, Apex Brakes. They even included new banjo bolts and sealing washers at no additional cost. I'm sure that you can find a US manufacturer if you don't want to order from a Canadian company.
