The issue with using the stock mid control mounts for rear sets is that usually the kicker will hit the foot peg. That's why you almost always have to fab up a mounting point of some sort, so you can set them far enough back to avoid the kicker.
If you don't have a kicker, well, no problem.
If you don't have a kicker, well, no problem.
