Hi all,

I am wanting to cut my front and rear fenders (cut the rear fender and slide it back a bit under the seat).

I was just wondering if there is any tricks to doing it - other than measuring carefully. I plan on using an angle grinder. Do I need to round off the edges, or just file off the sharp end.

Any input of experiences are appreciated!

Joel

Never leave any sharp ends.

This will give you an idea of how to do it, but there are many ways.

Search youtube for "cut a fender motorcycle" and there are tons of hits. I figure this is better than typing.

I did this one with a hack saw.

Good thread :p I was thinking the same thing OP!

If that dude can do a decent job in a 7min video, i think I can have a nice set of cut fenders in a hour! I didn't think it was that easy, but now I plan on trying haha

Masking tape is a good idea. I used that several times myself. It's a great way to make long, straight lines too.
