DOHC ignition electrics, strange loose wire?

I was fiddling about around my ignitor unit and came across this black/white wire which leads to nothing. Can anyone tell me what it's for? The wiring diagram also makes it go nowhere. It's the black/white wire coming out of the connector on the bottom right on the picture



It's working fine btw, I'm just very curious. Is it something to attach a measuring device of some sort?

That's interesting - my black with white connects to a black with white, that then disappears into the harness. Could be a regional difference? I know there was a Germany version of the bike...

I think it goes to the side stand relay.

I've got this harness out right know and yeah side stand relay - right hand side under tank mounting bracket.

Yes, the sidestand relay. On your bike it may not have the side stnd relay and switch. Your ignitor box may have been swapped out from one that did.

yea they probably took the side stand relay out at some point then.

Weird cause on the dutch motorcycle forum there are more people with this strange loose wire. Guess it was just something dutchies used to do, taking off sidestand relays..
