How to ID amodel?

I have a 77 XS 360 on the frame it says IT6-005404
How does one tell if it is a 2D or a C_D?
I need to order some carb parts If anyone has a good site?
I did find Yamatopdog and SCI but neither list a kit so I think I am going to have to buy them separate.

this is an old post i know, even if you don't need it maybe someone else will. one way to tell is the 2d doesn't have a front disc break, auto flasher cancel and I think a starter. the 2d is basically the base model without the "options". As for a carb kit.. I'm going on 2 weeks now trying to track down a carb kit that will fit... so far I have seen that the xs650 carb kit may fit, but some parts may not. Pretty sure the xs400 doesn't utilize the same parts either... has been tricky but i will post here if i find a winner.

My list does not show an "IT6" but it does show a "1T6" as a 1977 XS360-2D.

if you go with the xs 750 triple carb kit, you will get a lot of the needed parts, minus the needle jet and the main jet, both are to big for the xs 360. The triple has the same carbs!

got the late 70's rebuild kit. my xs is a 77 so I got the 76-79? kit
