K&N pod air filter

I am looking to get pod air filters for my '79 xs400. Im specifically looking for K&N filters, the folks that have run them what are your thoughts and as well what model# did you get and how was the fit?

http://www.mikesxs.net/ has k&n filters and an in-house knock-off for the xs400. I run the XS brand knock off filters and they work great. I am sure the k&n filters are better, but the xs filters are way cheaper.

I got an ru-2970 from amazon for about $30. Haven't fitted it yet but it looks the ducks.

to revive an old convo, I just picked up the RU-2980. I'm expecting to have to rejet at some point but I'll post my findings.
