Hey everyone, I'll be working on my BS34 carb on the 82' DOHC Seca.

I'll be taking my carbs off to install bigger main jets over the weekend. My manual says that the left hand main jet should be a 127.5 and the right hand is a 117.5.

I do not actually know which jets are present currently. Can anyone advise as to follow the manual or just install two 130 main jets?

Thank you!

If you are using the stock airbox setup then the sizes will need to be different just like the manual, if you have pod air filters or some other intake where the amount of vacuum on each carburetor is the same then the jets will be the same.

So if I want to go one size up on the main jets I should do 130/ 120. Two sizes will be 132.5/ 122.5. Three sizes is 135/125 right? The difference of 10 should stay constant when tuning with stock airbox right?

I must also add I have a 2 into 1 mac exhaust.

Thanks for the informative reply FarmBoy.

I'm not 100% sure if it would stay constant, but it should, as long as the stock airbox / intake isn't modified. I suppose if the exhaust provided better scavenging it could change, but either way it will be a guess and check situation.
