Loose wire found. I know where it goes just want to know if I did any damage.

So I found this little bastard today. My question is could it have done permanent damage to the rec or generator and if so how can I tell(since I've had the bike it hast run more than an hour total)? Also now that it will be hooked up can I do more damage to possibly hurt parts or am I good to run it? At least now I know why my headlight relay wasn't working.

As long as you get a good healthy 14v steady at a bit of revs, you should be good AFAIK.

doubt it would do harm unless it was earthed and that could fry the windings on that wire

Drewpy shouldn't that be a simple test the voltage and if I got it its good if there's no volts it's bad? Thx for the help.

Took a closer look and it's not your headlight relay connector.
