Models and manuals of 400 compatibility

I've found the manuals useful i downloaded most of them already and have been reading through (i'm hardly a mechanic). I noticed the topic had said "Good general service manual for the XS250, XS360, and XS400. It says 1975-1978 but should pretty much cover all SOHC models. " My bike personally is 1980 and iIve had a 1982 manual i downloaded from a while ago. Is there any place i can view to see differences in the years of models; if not is there anything i should really watch out for? (hopefully posting this here was fine rather than the actually manual thread)
