My very nearly finished 1980 XS 400!!!

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum. My name is Ciarán and I'm from Dublin, Ireland. Last August I bought an XS 400 for €300 and I've gone about turning it into a tracker! It's almost ready for the street except for 1 problem... it won't start.... I had it running for ages after I rebuilt the engine and I got back to it in December and it just won't start for me!

It is getting a spark, I've tried fresh fuel, I've cleaned the carbs and I just can't get my head around it! Any ideas would be really appreciated! Here's a few pics!

Welcome to the forum. Is gas making it to the plugs? Is the compression within spec? Also make sure not to run the bike without the ignition pickup cover. It also holds the rocker pins in place by putting pressure on the rubber plugs that are over them.
