Need Help with a Diaphram/slide

Hey Guys, I have the original part number for a carb slide diaphram assembly but almost pissed myself when I saw the price. Is getting a oem one my only option or will others work with my bike? I have an 81xs400. Bought a rebuild kit so everything else is ready to go just the diaphram is cracked and mangled pretty bad.
