Neutral light randomly stopped working

I was warming my bike up as its in storage for winter and was just riding slowly around in 1st gear, when i came to stop and shifted to neutral the light wouldn't come on. It was working 5 minutes before hand. I assumed it was the bulb was dead, not the case. Now I can only assume somethings wrong with the switch that turns the light on and off. Where can I find this "neutral switch" and what sort of things go wrong with it? Thanks!!
