New guy and first bike project

This will be my first bike build and I was thankful to find this forum for support. I picked up a 1978 XS 400 to build for my son or a friend of mine hopefully by next May. The bike is in pretty tough shape buy only 2000 miles on the engine. No title so that will be a project in it self (west Michigan). Expect to have the engine out by this weekend. Seat, handle bars and wheels will be gone and replaced by a cafe style components. I'll be looking for help along the way for sure.

Getting a title here in Michigan wont be that much of a problem.Its quite easy compared to a lot of states.Good luck with your build and welcome here
