So i bought this 1982 xs400 last year pretty low milage, about 5k, not bad shape except for the tank. (i have another thread on that). So far on the bike i re did the tank and painted it, did single air pods (Emgo's.... not the best but i made it work) fabed a new battery box and welded on the frame, did a bunch of rewiring which includes a new solenoid.
next up will be mini spedo n tach
new mirrors
2-1 megaphone exhaust (next year)

Currently im Re-Jetting my mains since the pods made it run more lean, +1 size for each mains should (knock on wood) do the trick.

unfortunately the bars hit the tank so i will c if drag bars will work better (my friends got an extra set) but i love how these look on it :/

Nice looking bike and very cool paint job on the gas tank. Also you might want to reconsider your jetting scheme and go 2 sizes on your mains.
