Hey Nick

And welcome to the forum. As for your tank, your going to be very limited with the triple backbone as to what you can fit. Do you know anyone that has one that you could test fit? I'm sure you have read the posts about guys pounding in the tanks underside to make it fit. If you can do sheet metal there are always options. I'm cutting my tank apart to add knee dents. So if you don't mind cutting anything will work :)

On a side note you may want to add some bracing to the frame I see you have cut some out and you need to keep it straight. Welding will distort it badly. So just some temporary material tacked in would be good. Not trying to offend if you already know I just don't want you to warp your frame.

Dang. Gran pa owns a sheet metal shop so that shouldn't be a big problem. Yea I've read up a lot on the frame. Definitely don't wanna warp it. Anyonr got any pics of triple back bone tanks?

welcome to the forum Nick.
Don't foregt there is never such thing as a dumb ass question (unless it is a dumb ass question :D )

tank ordered! ended up goin with the sporty, got an idea to make some shrouds that will cover up spacing off the frame. then relocate the coils probably under the seat.

gave the wheels a facelift today, wish i had a parts washing booth. wouldnt beleive the gunk an grim built up

also practiced some airbrushing on the old tank. same design is gonna go on the new sporty except on the sides in matte red with the tank still raw.
