so mu stock seat is pretty much destroyed. so i need a new seat. i was thinking about making a steat pan out of steel then getting covered by a shop. i would like to get a few ideas form you guys and how you did yours. thanks!

lot of peeps draw out the base on card
offer it up to where you want it

I think you've already got the right idea there. I've made a seat pan out of steel and I'm just trying to decide whether to put some camping mat foam on myself for the padding or get the upholsterer to do it when covering the seat.
Some of the members have even covered the seats themselves and one (Crush???) had a cover made from a guy on ebay to his dimensions pretty cheaply and fitted it himself and looks great.
