Hey guys,

I picked up an 82 heritage a while back and decided to hardtail it. Everything had been done with a chop saw, 4 1/2" grind and a thermal dynamics tig. Being 20, this is my first bike build ive done.

Im kind of partial to the stock tank. Peanut and sporty tanks don't look natural to me on this frame...

the frame looks great!

a husky motocross tank would look great imo

but then there is the problem with the triple backbone...

Thanks guys. I built a battery box at work the other day. Just have to get it mounted. Where would be a good reasonably priced place to find a rear fender?

I like em short and stubby like that, some don't flow so well when they start getting too long. I don't like the look where there is all that dead space where they stretch them.

Just ordered my seat, seat mounts, tail light, electrical box, fender, 304SS for exhaust and stock dual crf250 mufflers :)

Looks great!!!!!!! Keep the big tank..I kept mine after trying several other options. Might take a look at the fender I made for the rear of mine..it was cheap and would work for your build. If you can't find my build thread let me know and I will post a pic for ya

Put the engine in, mounted my battery box pics to come when im not on my phone! Its getting there! I can't wait to show what im doing with the exhaust :)

Here are some pics mounting the battery box, electrical tank, seat, exhaust, fenders

Loving the whole bike man, are those pipes off a dirtbike?
Did you have to put those gussets in for engineering or something? Where is your battery box?
