I have an untitled 1977D with disc brakes and 18 inch alloy wheels
Will the Swing arm and brake setup transfer to a 1980G. I believe there is no issue with the front forks and wheel/brake but I am not certain on the Swing arm. I know I will have to fabricate a rear brake master cylinder mount but other than that...? I would love to swap things over and get the 18 inch wheels on a street tracker build I am working on. The 77 appears to need motor work so that will be a winter project.

Should swap right over. The black one I did was a 81 frame and all the parts were off a 77 or 78 cant remember. The bike had no title also but ran. I did have to make a master cylinder mount and also a few motor mounts as they were different.

I don't need to do motor mounts so it should be relatively easy to fab a brake cylinder bracket. I think they would add a nice touch to the bike and it grants a lot more flexibility with tire choices...I think I will give it a try!
